CAN Filter – emulator allows installation of a previously installed Smart Media Connect system to another vehicle or test it on the bench overriding security feature. The previously installed unit will not work without unlocking and will display the message “DEVICE IS LOCKED!”

A smart media system is equipped with a security feature that prevents installing units in another car. It is preprogrammed to the vehicle security system. Each time on system power-up, the unit validates security codes with the car security system and if the codes don’t match, the unit is locked.
Locked device displays a message in several languages – “DEVICE IS LOCKED !” “APPAREIL BLOQUE !” “GERAT IST GESPERRT !” “NAPRAWA ZAKLEJENA !”
As a solution for this problem comes the CAN filter – emulator. It allows unit installation to another vehicle or test it on the bench overriding security feature.
