CAN Filter – emulator allows installation of a Nissan European navigation or radio unit in another vehicle, retrofit a USA market vehicle, or test it on the bench, overriding the security feature. Without it, navigation will not work, and the message “SECURE” or “SYSTEM IS LOCKED” will be displayed.
Supports probably most of the NISSAN navigation and radio units from 2006 to 2024
European NISSAN navigation and radios are equipped with a security feature that prevents installing units in another car. They are preprogrammed into the vehicle security system. Each time the system power-up unit validates security codes with the car security system, and if the codes don’t match, the unit is locked, and the “SECURE” message is displayed.
The navigation unit installed in a vehicle without security features or powered on the bench will show the message “Please Wait” while waiting for a response from the security system and if a response is not received within 30-60 seconds, it will show the message “SECURE” or “SYSTEM IS LOCKED” on display.
As a solution to this problem comes the CAN filter-emulator. It allows the installation of a Nissan navigation or radio unit in another European vehicle, retrofitting a USA market vehicle with European navigation, or testing it on the bench, overriding the security feature.

I still had the system locked RED after installing the product. Do not give up or think the emulator is faulty. For me the process took some time to unlock the radio, but eventually it worked. This is the only real cost effective solution to bypass the system locked error.

Many thanks, I installed the module and it perfectly works ! I was lost with no solutions for replacing my broken radio : no way way to repair it from a specialized service, second hand part locked with the message and no help from nissan or bosch support itself, steering wheel adapter for standard 2 din radio not available anymore for this vehicule, and new one from nissan super expensive… Unexpected but very efficient solution is this can filter !

Hi there, i bought the filter in february or march. Today, i was able to swap visteon unit of my qashqai j11 with a nissan connect 4 unit . I did not have the v can lines. I asked martynas if it was possible for me to unlock the unit even if it lacked the lines and he said it will work. It worked. I am now enjoying the new unit. Also thanks for Craig from the forum for stating this can filter.

After a defect Navi Display unit model Clarion, in our Nissan Leaf type 2 2018, we changed the display from another car, same model type 2 /2019. But the local Nissan dealer could not make it working because another VIN security number. With the use of the Zelemar Can filter and support, we installed the new Clarion Display unit our selve in 1 hour, and it works great again with all original functions !! Without programming!

Nota: Tengo un Leaf Z01 cuya head unit murió sin razón conocida. La solución ofrecida por Nissan fue reemplazar el equipo con un descuento. A pesar de ello, el coste era absolutamente inasumible. Compré un equipo en un desguace desguace y el CAN filter de Zelemar y ahora tengo un head unit perfectamente funcional.
The PCB was fast shipped and received quickly and it is installed and works exactly as described on the ZELEMAR website. All in all, the best part was the support provided by ZELEMAR: I needed help with my particular case and it was provided immediately, expertly and in a personalized way. The experience of dealing with ZELEMAR has been unbeatable.
Note: I have a Leaf Z01 whose head unit died for no known reason. The solution offered by Nissan was to replace the equipment at a discount. The cost was still absolutely unaffordable. I bought a unit from a scrapyard and the CAN filter from Zelemar and now I have a perfectly working head unit

Great product! A number of us have switched out our pre2018 COnnect 3 units in our Qashqais and replaced them with the far superior Connect 4 units. It does require a harness making (more info here : https://www.qashqaiforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=100700#p100700
However the new system is coded to a specific QQ so rather than visit Nissan, who charge more and also don’t always know what they are doing (seriously), this is a cheaper and better solution. We had to connect the power to a different pin (more info on the post shared in the link) but after that, it works perfectly.
